J. Kevin Corbett, passed away September 7th 2010 at the age of 64.
Mr. Corbett was the founder and owner of the Taunton Funeral Home which he opened in 1991, was been a licensed embalmer and funeral director for 38 years.
He graduated from the New England Institute of Anatomy Sanitary Science and Funeral Directing and Embalming in 1970. Mr. Corbett served his apprenticeship at the W.C. Goodrich Funeral Home in Lynn, Massachusetts.
Mr. Corbett was a member of the Taunton & Area Chamber of Commerce, the Oakland Grange of Taunton, the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association and the British Institute of Embalmers.
Mr. Corbett was a 32nd Degree Mason and belongs to many Masonic bodies. He was a member of the King David Lodge A.F.A.M. in Taunton, the Aleppo Shrine, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, the Taunton Council of Royal and Select Masons, St. Marks Royal Arch Chapter in Taunton, and the Scottish Rite Bodies of South Eastern Massachusetts. He also belonged to the Rose Croix Chapter #79 Order of the Eastern Star in Taunton’ and the Eastern Star Lodge A.F.A.M. in Rehoboth.
